Basic I know - but its really frustrating me!!

Could anybody please explain to me what the difference between a Field List and a Value List when using a Combo Box? I just cant seem to get an answer from 'Help'

If you use a field list, the data displayed and stored in your combo/list box will be taken from the fields you list. If you use a value list, you need to type in a list of values for the combo/list box to display.
