I personally think triggers are a bit like views, in that they tend to grow like viruses in an organization and get hard to keep track of.
They're awesomely useful, but I'd prefer a carefully designed ETL process to a trigger, even if that ETL process has to run every minute of the day - if possible. Not always possible maybe, but if.

I have never seen a comparatively good job anywhere like the demo database provided, especially since, as I said, there is very little information about it anyway.

Agree, in fact the only other place I have seen them explored is here, and although very informative, it is no where near as comprehensive as Jack's sample DB.

If any AUG's find themselves in need of a topic, this would make a great addition IMHO.
