Black Caviar

As Horse racing and breeding is my thing and indeed a source of income I am very interested in seeing how Black Caviar does next week.

One of our former stallions was a successful racehorse in Australia and won the Australian Guineas.

This Horse not only wins, it wins without raising a sweat. At $1.04 it is unbackable here. Perhaps you could do better there.

The odds are a bit better here. At present best odds are 3/10 with most firms offering 2/7. The only question is whether the going will be too soft for her.

Looking forward to the race.

I heard that the track is very wet.

This could make a big difference.

The race is not far away, I think. Time differences confuse me me a little.

Black Caviar's mother is currently gestating a full blood sister. The owners are already counting the money.

Not long now.

I think the race is tonight Australian time. (Saturday)

I hear the Queen will be there.

It is a shame that Frankel and Nelly do not run the same distance. That is a match i would like to see. My opinion (for what it is worth:eek:) is that Frankel would probably have the edge (time form ratings). I have not seen any footage of Nelly stretching or being ridden out - it is possible she just has one AMAZING high gear.

Live telecasts start at 11:00 pm tonight in Oz.

Channel 73. Straight after the Essendon Freemantle game.

Latest odds with 75 mins to go are 1/5

I have a live Telecast on now. It is 50 mins before the race.

I noticed that the ladies are wearing hats not fascinators. I only said that because I know the difference and wanted to sound smart.

1/5 What does that mean. I put 5 Quid on and get six back. Is that right. I don't bet.

Five quid on - 6 back. 1.2 in decimal? I dont bet really either, but I think thats right.

Someone just bet $200,000 here in OZ.

Interesting

What are the odds in AUstralia now? 1/6 here now. She's looking really good going to the parade ring

I don't know, and by the time I find it on the net the race will be over.

If you search www.tab.com.au you might find something.

I am not experienced at this sort of thing.

I am watching a cross to the BBC, not local TV

I think Luke Nolan will be sweating when he sees the replay. The horse was v impressive - pity about the jockey

Wonderful for the Queen to come down.

Rabbie, thanks for the company. I off to bed.

Will see the sports reports tomorrow. Or should I say latter this morning.
