Blank Fields

Hiya guys - new to this so bear with me - have report which has 3 address fields as well as Town, sometimes address 3 is blank, sometimes not, depends on length of address.

How do I make report shrink the empty line as have tried Can Shrink as well as Chr(13) and Chr(10) etc without any joy.

If nothing else is on that line horozontally then setting the CanShrink property of the Section and well as the control should do it.

Nope - have tried that as well as Chr(13) etc, nothing works and blank line appears in some letters.

What version of Access and what OS? It should work. Are you sure there is nothing else on the page on that line of the report?

Hiya

Access2000 and am running XP Home.

Nothing else on that line and one above and all controls are set to CanShrink = Yes, with CanGrow = No

If the Section CanShrink property is set to YES then maybe try importing your db into a new, empty db and see if the issue follows. All that is left is maybe posting your db so we can look at it.
