blank form

I am trying to create a new form and in design view I had added 1 text box for input and a subform to display data related to what is entered in textbox. I have saved and go to form view all I see is a blank gray screen, no textbox, no subform, What is going on? Thought I'd try again with another form. So tried a new form and same thing. What is going on??

Your form is probably based on a table or query with no records being returned and therefore nothing is being displayed.
