Blank form

I have a form with a couple of fields a subform and a close and view report command button. I have a filter that filters certain records. When the user uses the filter and filters it so there are no records left the form doesn't display anything, not even the command buttons. All it shows it the background image of the form. Does anyone know why it is doing this or how to fix it.

This usually occurs when there are no records to display and you have "Allow Additions" set to No. To get around this you will probably need to count the results of your filter and display a msg and reset the record source if there are no records to display. (Or set your form to allow additions)

Good Suggestion

You were right that there were no records to display and allow additions was set to no on both my main and subform. I put allow additions to yes on both my main and subform but I still get nothing. I can see how I should get a blank form if there are no records but Why I don't get my command buttons I don't understand.
