A lovely Leroy Anderson song. The first time I ran across his work was watching late-night TV on a (broadcast) UHF station. They had so-called "bumper" music between movie segments and apparently the station manager had this "thing" for a Leroy Anderson album. If you are curious, look up "Leroy Anderson songs" to get a list. You might or might not recognize the names but the older members among you have heard the music and will remember it. He was noted for some really great music and some novelty songs too. "The Syncopated Clock" and "The Typewriter" are two of his clever numbers from 50 years ago. But he has one that I love called "Trumpeter's Lullaby" that is just WONDERFUL (if you play trumpet, as I used to.) And as a former ballroom dancer, I LOVED his "Blue Tango."
