button links

i have constructed a switchboard/main menu and have set up buttons which link to forms. i have also made a 'return to main menu' button which does as it says, the only problem is that after going back to the main menu both forms are now open...any ideas on how to stop this problem

You can put this code on Close form Event on form

DoCmd.Open acForm, ("Main form")

and close form on "x" or create "Back button" on each form to close this form and open main form

where abouts is the 'close form event' part your talking about

Select Design view, select Properties click on Event tab, here you can find On Close event.

ah i see. no shall i put the code into the code builder? and also how do i tailor the code excactly...the form the button is located in is called 'donator details: form' and the form i wish for the button to take me to is called 'switchboard: form'
