Button to link to a unix session

Is it possible in a Form for there to be a command button, or something similar, that, when clicked, sends the user directly to a unix session ?
The table item being displayed in the Form matches a source file in a unix environment.
By clicking the button, I want to be able to either navigate to the source file, or better still, start a vi session with the appropriate file selected. When finished, I then want to return control back to the Form.
Or am I asking for the moon ?

Start your Telnet client with a Shell command.
Then use SendKeys.

This is the best Shell Execute function I have found.

It supports the use of parameters which may be useful for configuring your session depending on the Telnet client you are using.
