Calculated value reference from report question

I have a calculated expression performed in a text box on a form...

How to retrieve/reference that text box value from a text box on a report?

I have found similar threads on related questions...but I am very confused...

What I usually do is to create a Query and do all of my calculations there, creating new fields as necessary. Then use the query as the datasource for all subsequent forms and reports. The calculated fields can then be used just like any other field.
