Calculating fields that are text in a report.

I have fields that I would like to total on my report but the fields are actually text calculations so I end up with a funny looking number with +E at the end.
They show as numbers in my query and report, but they aren't.
How would I get the sum of these fields on my report?
Does it have anything to do with grouping?

You would need to either use a conversion -

Cdbl([FieldNameHere]) + Cdbl([FieldName2Here])

or use

Val([FieldNameHere]) + Val([FieldName2Here])
