Calculation

I want to create a calculated field in my query,by finding the greater of 2 other fields (in the same table).
I am having some trouble getting the syntax right.
Anyone got a simple answer pls.

In a new column: Calc:IIF([Field1]>[Field2],[Field1],[Field2])
