P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; } Problem:
My 'TyreMaster 1-0.accdb' has a failure.

History:
Built in 2008 with Access 2003 as 'TyreMaster 1-0.mdb' file on my Laptop. Sometime later upgraded to access 2010 on laptop and it became 'TyreMaster 1-0.accdb'.

Jan 2013 I built a dedicated business-only workstation and the laptop has not been used since. Been sitting on top of cupboard since.

November 2014: Had a HDD failure with workstation, new HDD, OS, Software restored from media, data files from backup source etc. etc. Also upgraded to Access 2013.

My access file opens, but when the main form opens, the sub-form within does not populate. I can view the tables (and export them) and they are complete and up-to-date. I have taken the file to another computer with Access 2013 and the problem and symptom are the same. I believe that the problem is in the Front End, not the data.

Now to my question.:
Could I copy my original 'TyreMaster 1-0.accdb' file from the laptop (Jan 2013) to a folder on my workstation, then somehow paste the up-to-date tables from Nov 2014 over the top of the old tables to bring them up to date?

If not, please point me in the right direction. I don't mind the hard research and work involved, But I am not sure of the things to search for to start the job off.

My thanks to all who read this post.

Hi,
I hope I understand your question,
you can delete a table using the 'delete' button (or other ways), and import other tables to you DB.

Did I get you right?

Hi marlan, thanks for the prompt reply. I think you understand my question much better than I could ask it!

Yes I want to delete the 'out of date' tables and replace them with the 'current tables'. I have followed the link in your reply and that certainly helps. I presume that implies that I can get Access to export the required tables to an external place or folder, then do the import from there. I will report back.

Hi again Marlan.

I have carried out the export and then imported to working front end successfully. Database now fully functional. I much appreciate your help.
