Good day to you all

I am calling the search replace dialogue box by clicking a command button.

Screen.PreviousControl.SetFocus
DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acEditMenu, 10, , acMenuVer70

Is there a way to dictate the size and position on the screen where the box will open.

I have tried DoCmd.Movesize but i dont think im putting it in the right place since it appears to be being ignored.

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer

Kindest regards

Tony

Look at the docmd.movesize command. That's what you want. It has four argumnets (in rasters).

Stop using
Code:
DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acEditMenu, 10, , acMenuVer70
as it is outdated and can change with versions of Access.

Instead, use the
Code:
DoCmd.RunCommand accmdWHATEVERCOMMANDYOUNEED
where "WHATEVERCOMMANDYOUNEED" is replaced by the actual command that is available to do what you need. For example, to Zoom in at 75%, you would use
Code:
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdZoom75
. After typing in the firstpart "DoCmd.RunCommand" and then hitting the spacebar, it will give you the list of available commands to use.
