Can I show Execution waiting time?

I have a form that calls an Excel spreadsheet and runs a macro. The macro is large And runs over a network so it is also slow. As it stands, the only thing it does is lock up the Access window until the macro has completed. My boss immediately said, "Well how do I know it's running????" He wants me to put an hour glass or a ticker or just .... something so he'll know it's working and not crashing.... Any built in changeMousePointer functions or a plug in I can use to show a progress bar... anything?? Thanks everyone.

to turn it on

DoCmd.Hourglass False

to turn it off

You can make a macro to do it, too.
