can not access database...help!

I've created an application in Access 97, but when I try to open the same in Access 7,
it gives me this error..."Database Object not recognized"...is there anyway I can get around this?

Am I right in saying that you are trying to open 97 database in Access 95?

If this is the case then unfortunately, I think I'm right in this, you can't because there is no backward compatitbility. You can open an Access 95 database in 97 but not the other way round.

I went straight from 95 to 2000 and within 2000 there is the facility to convert a .mdb to a prior version but am not sure if this available in 97.
