If so - how... also, if someone could give me the simple steps to create a drop down box in one of the fields on the form so I can enter approx 7 things to choose from, I'd be eternally grateful. Sorry I'm hogging all the topics today.

Simple drop down lists are 'combo boxes', more complicated lists are 'list boxes'. Look then up in Access Help to see the difference. The Form design screen has good wizards for helping you make them, etc.
I'm sure no one minds answering your questions, and don't feel you have to stop, however you might look into getting a good book on Access before getting too much further into your project. If your boss dumped database maintenance/creation on you without any training then you will be MORE dangerous if you just leap right in than if you take some time to learn how to do things. Unlike Excel and Word and Powerpoint, it can be very difficult to 'fix' things in Access that have been done improperly from the beginning.
I know where you're at. I'd never opened an Access file a year ago. I grabbed ALL the books I could find at the library and started absorbing. The Access for Dummies book is actually quite good, and I now own the QUE Special Edition Using Access 2000. That plus the search archives here have saved my *ss more times than I care to count.
Pay special attention to 'database normalization'. You can find articles on it in google.com, the Microsoft Support base (support.microsoft.com), or the archives here. That single idea will foul you up more than any form design weirdness you can possibly come up with.
And now that I've ranted and raved; try looking at 'number format' in the help files for Access, for information on percentages.

I appreciate your advice, feel overwhelmed, but thrive on the challenge. I'll do what I can, and see how it turns out. I feel like a sponge, absorbing - as you say. I have two books I've been reading, one used comprehensive from the univ that's a couple yrs old.. the other microsoft access 2000 visually. They both cover so many basics mouse/print.. I feel like it's repeat courses, then I try to jump ahead to the tougher stuff, and whammy.. I'm lost. Guess, I'll have to be patient and work my way through.
