I set up a form with a subform selected by a combobox. It wasn't working so I made a textbox to display what the combobox was returning. Access seemed to glitch a little, so I closed it, and now I cant open the form (regular or in design view)--How do I get to my form? Do I need to load an earlier version from a backup?

Likely corruption. You can use a backup or you can try importing everything EXCEPT that form into a new shell and then rebuild your form.

Access is having a lot of trouble with the unbound subform. I am now contemplating switching over to VB altogether--but it would take quite a bit of time. Bad idea? Is it my error or Access having issues?

Why are you using an unbound subform? That doesn't really make sense. It should be bound to a Record Source and then linked to the main form via the Master/Child links, unless it is not related to the main form. But it still should be bound. What is the purpose of a non-bound subform anyway?

I just used SourceObject to load forms into the unbound subform--I'm going to change tactics though. It worked, except for the crashing and lockouts haha.

I have about 12 forms that potentially load into the empty subform, selected by a combobox on the main form. I'm looking up other ways to do it.
