Hi, I have a DB for a shift report that records the clock start time and clock end time of a machine on the shift. The clock start time on a new record is always the same as the clock end time of the last entry were the clock time was recorded.
I have a form to enter this data (called frmDataEntry) and would like the clock start time to auto fill.
Some other important info is that the machine doesn't always run on every shift, so sometimes there isn't a start or end clcok recorded for that shift.
So maybe auto fill is not the best option as sometimes you don't want the clock times enterred? Maybe a button next to the start clock field that retrieves the data when pressed and then enters it into the start clock time?
The fields are called "Extruder clock Start" and "Extruder clock End" and the table is "Table1". All without the ". There are also spaces between the words in the field names. I know now that this is not the way to name fields. But when I started the data base I was less knowledgeable. I now know better!!
I have thought about looking for the max of the Extruder end time and I am sure this will work fine until the hour meter eventually returns back to Zero and then we will be in real doggy doo.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be very much appretiated.
Thanks,
