Cascading combo boxes on sub form

I have 2 cascading combo boxes, the first lists Productions, then the second shows the different Performances for each production, both on the same subform (frmOrderDetails).

It is currently part of a subform on an Orders form, for people to buy tickets. I can use the boxes when I have just the subform open as a single form, but not when I open the main orders form.

I'm assuming that something changes when it is used as a subform, but I can't figure out what, can anyone help me figure this out?

What is it, that is(not) happening when you try to use your cascading combo's when the form is opened as a Sub Form?
