How do i change a column name ( or caption) in a table from within VBA?

Check the .Caption property.

Although if this relates to your question about Holiday Sector, then go with the advice there. Dynamically changing table field names should not be undertaken lightly, and as long as you remember the brackets, you will be okay MOST of the time.

If possible, remove the space however. You can always recaption the field in your forms and reports and such. Looking directly at tables is not the most efficient way to use Access.
