on a vbYesNo message box, is there a way to put my own text inside the buttons so instead of saying "Yes" and "No" they say something like "Create New" and "View Existing"? Thanks in advance.

Lynn,

I believe there is, but I also think it might be better if you just made a custom form of your own to handle this stuff. I'm sure you could make it look just like the normal message boxes that pop up from Access..

To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to modify a messagebox in this manner. Adam's suggestion of using a small popup form to mimic a messagebox is the only workaround I know of.

What you are requesting can be complex or as simple as creating your own form to use smoke and mirrors ...

I ran across the links once on the same quest but ended up changing my strategy and never implemented - so I can't attest to their functionality. It is still on my to-do list to fool around with these one of these days.

These basically replace the existing MsgBox with their own brand ...
