Changing Range Scope

Anyone know how to modify a range from being sheet-level to workbook level?
I'm importing sheets into a new workbook, and the ranges are copied over as well, but they are only sheet-level, I need to make them available to the workbook.
Any ideas?!?!

Not entirely sure what you mean, but as a guess try:

sub bleh

thisworkbook.names.add Name:="Something", Refersto:= "=sheet1!A1:A10"

end sub
