I have a database, that will have a 12 y/n checkboxes representing the months.

I would like a report to generate based on various criteria. I may need all records with Jan, Mar, Dec. Then tomorrow my criteria would be different. How can I do this?

Without getting into normalization questions or efficiency issues, I see this as a problem in selecting by month.

OK, to figure this out without confusing you, I suggest you look up the DATEPART function to see how to extract the month from a date/time field.

Then you could compare the month you got from the DATEPART function to the checked month to decide whether to include the month in your report.

Search this forum for "dynamic selection criteria" and phrases similar to that one in order to find out how to approach the dynamic query you are proposing to use.
