Clearing Field - 'Mostly Working' - a 'puzzlement'

Top of the morning!

I set up an unbound text box for users to enter a password. If correct, a Delete button becomes visible, otherwise, not.

ANYWAY, it has Inpiut Mask of Password. But after user enters the password (correct or not) the field only PARTIALLY resets to a blank one. It still shows a single '*'.
I have the line: Me.MAYI = "" in the after update event.

Any ideas? (I also have the same problem when I used: Me.MAYI = Null

Try: Me![FieldName].Undo and see if that does the trick.

Jack, thanks for reply but it did not work. The darndest thing. And I know users will complain about having to backspace to get rid of the remaining * in the field.
Appreciate you trying, though.

i can't replicate this problem (a97)...maybe you should try deleting the PWD control and re-creating it.

I agree with Al. Build a new field and if that doesn't do it then try it in a new form and if that works the rebuild the whole form.
