Click combo box twice.

I am using a combo box to select a record. Once selected it updates a subform to display parts of that record. The problem is when I use the dropdown to select the record I have to do it twice. If the combo box is empty and I scroll to the record I want and click on that record, the combo box is still empty. I have to click the down arrow again and reselect the record and it finally "sticks". If there is already a record number there it does the same thing I have to use the dropdown and select it twice to get it to work. Driving me nuts.

I think that if you want further analysis, you will probably have to upload a copy of your db. Sanitize it for confidential data and run a compact and repair before uploading.

Is your form doing any locking/unlocking maneuvers? Do you try to prevent stray edits programatically?

Found it thanks. It was a bad link on the child property.
