I have a database with several hundred PDF documents embedded in an OLE field in a table. Using a query to find a document or using a field in a form to display results is not an issue when there is one document in the result. With one document in the response the doc can be opened, viewed, printed and closed.
However, when the query returns more than one PDF document, one documnet can be opened, viewed, printed, etc. But after the document is closed no other PDF document can be opened unless the query or form is closed first. And there are times when the databasae itself has to be closed in order to display different results.
It appears that Access is not releasing the Adobe Reader. I have reinstalled Adobe Acrobat and Reader and I have ensured that Access is up to date.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a workaround/solution ?
I am using Access 2007. I have used embedded PDF documents in earlier Access versions with out a problem.
