I have a report that I can not collapes the blanks. I have "Can Shrink" and "Can Grow" both set to Yes. The problem is that if there is data in one of the cells, the rest of text boxes even though empty, the section grows. I have the section set by Principal investigator. If you look at the database I have attached you will see exactly what I am talking about. I need all blanks to collapes so it is all together instead of empty lines.

Thanks!

Brian what you need to do is deal with this in the query side and use null and if statements here is an example

Address: IIf([officeaddress1] Is Not Null,[officeaddress1] & Chr(13) & Chr(10),Null) & IIf([officeaddress2] Is Not Null,[officeaddress2] & Chr(13) & Chr(10),Null) & IIf([officeaddress3] Is Not Null,[officeaddress3] & Chr(13) & Chr(10),Null) & IIf([officeaddress4] Is Not Null,[officeaddress4] & Chr(13) & Chr(10),Null) & IIf([officeaddress5] Is Not Null,[officeaddress5] & Chr(13) & Chr(10),Null) & IIf([officeaddress6] Is Not Null,[officeaddress6] & Chr(13) & Chr(10),Null)

This would then place all the fields into a single field, but line by line

Tried exactly what you said and I get the exact results. I broke it down to just 5 columns to see if it worked but it dsidn't. Is it possible in the query to not show the blanks when you have a lot of columns? I don't think it is possible but worth asking.
