I'm looking to create a query which combines similar fields into one. I'm creating a publication database in MS Access 2003. Each publication can have multiple authors so I have created multiple fields for author names in my table and in my data entry form (Author1, Author2, Author3, etc.) and am looking for a way to search all the author fields to bring up all the records relating to one author. So far the only way to search for a particular author requires me to enter the name into each field and filter it to bring up all the records.
I'm looking for a way to create a query (or any other way) that allows me to search all the author fields using just one field. Is this possible? Any suggestions would be helpful.
