Combining text

I have two text fields that I would like to combine. One of them is a combo box. However when I use =[tblOne]![strText1] & " " & [strText2] I get "John 1" with 1 being the column in the combo box instead of "John Doe" that shows up in my table.

you will probably find that the 1 you refer to is the
bound value for your combo box
i am assuming strtext2 is your combo box

try [tblone]![strtext1] & " " & [strtext2].column(1)-if column 1
holds the value you want

look at the rowsource of your combo box to find out
what number column you are refering to.Remember it
starts at 0
