combo box not working

I have a combo box on a form that used to work, but suddenly does not allow a selection. If you click on the arrow, the drop-down menu appears, the options are there and you can move the mouse pointer through them and highlight them. But when you click on an option (or try to type one in the box) there is no response. The text box remains blank.

I can't think of what I might have done to make it stop working. I didn't think I made any changes to the combo box since it was working. I am stumped!

When you click an item in the combo box, does anything appear in the status bar? Make sure that the field that the combo box is bound too isn't missing from the forms underlying table/query

Thanks DBL, I fixed it by replacing it with an unbound combo box.
