I have a textbox that has an event when you double click. It checks if a file or folder exists. It works perfect.
I would like to change the textbox to a combo box but when I do that, the event will not work.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

well just saying "it doesn't work" isn't that helpful, kitty. I don't believe controls retain events that are written behind them if they are changed to another control through the interface of access. did yours retain the event code? so, to the question, you got anything more than "it won't work"?? c boxes have double click events. (just trying to pinpoint....

Does the event property still say "[Event Procedure]" in the double click?

I see what happens... When you change it, the Event Procedure goes away. You have to set it again and then the code is there again. Damn, something so simple.
My bad...

I believe you mean the "event Property" was cleared out not the "event Procedure". The event procedure is the code in the form.
