Combo won't allow text to be typed ( for search/add ) ?

I've got a combo, which is now 'blank' ( well text part anyway .. ) on load. I can usually start typing text, which then begins locating the item I am seeking, by highlighting the matching item. This is now not working, and wil not allow me to type ANY text at all. I suspect it's a property value, which is set to 'No' when it should be 'Yes' ( or vice-versa ). Tried a few of the 'likley candidates', but no joy. Any Combo Box gurus out there who might help ? I'd be grateful.

In the properties have you checked the Locked value to be set to No, would be easier to help if you could strip down a version with a simple table and the form.

Thank you. I did try that, but I'll look at it again. In fact, I'll put a new Combo on the form ( i.e with default settings ), and then make one change at a time, to find the 'culprit', by a process of elimination.

If the form's Allow Edits is set to NO you won't be able to type in the combo.

Upload an extract of the database it will be easier for someone to take a look at the form and the combo box, please state the form name and combo name.

Make a copy of the database and extract any sensitive information.

Database must be less than 2mg so make sure you compact it and zip it first.

Yes, they do. The typing will be using the FIRST visible field.
