I have never had problems adding a command button to a form before. Now, after adding a command button to open a form and clicking on the button in form view I get the following informational message pop-up box.

"Microsoft Visual Basic: Error Accessing File. Network connection may have been lost."

After I close out of the pop-up box an empty module window opens up. Any ideas as to the cause of this?

It sounds like a general bug. Are you running the Access software off of a network or off of your computer's hard drive? If it's the network, there may be a problem with the installation there.

The software and file are on my hard drive

You might try uninstalling and re-installing Access... it won't do anything to the current database file, but it might repair something that might have been corrupted.

I just made and clicked on a command button in another file that I just created. I don't have any problems this time. It could just be the one file that is corrupt?
