Hi all,

I'm a lot stumped on this one.
I have a FE/BE db Acc2003, all W2k machines. 5 users max. 16 tables with decent structure in BE. Approx 4 MB in size.

I run a compact&repair nightly. This morning I opened the BE and found this table (MSysCompactError).
The db is still performing as expected, but I'm nervous about this. Searches here and in the MS KB haven't helped. I'd appreciate any ideas as to what the prob is.

By the way, I've never had a field 'Description' anywhere in the db.

TIA,

Chris

Chris,

This happened many times with me. But I don't think its a big issue to be upset. After necessary correction in my db, I use to delete the error table

The error table is just generated the unexecuted lines which does not meant that it harmed any of the object. This is for reference purpose of the programer to see where was the fault that recoreded by Access while execution of specific command.

Ashfaque

To be on the safe side I would create a brand spanking new db and import everything from that db into the new db. Any time you have a problem with an Access 'system' table [MSys*] your db probably has a slight bit of corruption and will only get worse until one day the db will crash and not open.

Thanks a lot guys. I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't think to try this.

Have a nice day.

Chris

P.S. And thanks again ghudson, the timecard is working great..from a mgmnt perspective anyway ;)
