My company just purchased some Compaq Tablet PC's for our salespeople and they have an Access Order Entry System. With the Tablet PC's there are a couple of ways to insert data. One is via an electronic keyboard (which works great with Access) next you can write the information with a pen in a writing pad area which then takes the written message turns it into text and places it in the program (works great with all programs except our Access data base) the other is through speech recognition (which doesn't work in everything).

My question is ... do I need to change something in my Access database so that it will accept data that is streamed into it via the writing pad option on the Compaq tablet PC? I spoke with Compaq and they said the writing pad is the same thing as using a keyboard because the software translates the writing into text and then basically stream types it into the program.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
