Compare databases

What is the simplest way to compare two external databases that hold table data only?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In one of the databases create a link to the tables in the other database.

Then use the New Query Wizard "Find Unmatched Query Wizard"

I assume by compare you are wanting to compare the data.
