Conditional formating b/w report & subreport

Dear All

It is a very serious problem for me and I will have to do it somehow, no way around because customer needs to have the report in this format.

1. I have a subreport placed on the footer of main report.
2. Main report is based on a crosstab query which is further based on a select query, where dates from 'ANALYSIS DATE' field are displayed in columns in 'mmm-yy' format.
3. I have got these dates range from Jan-02 to Jul-03 so basically a number of columns.
4. In the subreport placed on main report footer, there is a date field named 'C DATE'.
5. Both report and subreport are based on same select query.
6. What I want to do is that whenever a date in 'C DATE' field falls in the range of crosstab query based main report, 'ANALYSIS DATE' text boxes beyond that date would be coloured in a different colour. For example in 'C DATE' on subreport '26/06/02' appears, so on main report, text boxes beyond 'Jun-02' till today should be couloured, say in green.

I have tried to explain my question but still if something is unclear, please do comment and help me out of it.
