well, i have a little problem.
i'm designing a database and i need to assign a control number. this field is an auto number, but i want it to get it's value or assign a number i specify.
the number is suppose to be a combination of workday,salescode and an assigned number which also is an auto number.
do you have any idea how i can go about this.
eg
control#
0329fh0001 (the 3029 is today's date,fh is the sales code and 0001 is the assigned number which also is an auto number.)
