Convert local time to GMT

I am doing an aviation database and i will like to convert local time to GMT. For instance, i want the date and time a record is save to reflect GMT in the table field.

I've never had call to do anything involving converting local time to GMT but I come across code posted somewhere that makes calls to get system regional settings.

Look at this article. Access really doesn't do this directly - but Windows supports UTC conversion. (UTC and GMT are pretty much the same.)
