Hey there,

I have two data entry forms. One is called SR, and the other DRF.
  • SR is an ad-hoc job log.
  • DRF is a projects log.
When i enter an ad-hoc job, it may end up becoming a DRF.

Instead of having to complete the information again in the DRF form, is there a macro, sql script or other way for me to copy the data over the forms?

Thank you everyone!

Tom

Hi Tom, it would be beneficial to explain where the data is stored, if it is in one database an extra field with Yes/NO control that indicates that the job has become DRF.

Second option could be a query it can also fill in fields from your SR that are held in a different table..

However this is just a thought without knowing exactly what you try to do, and there are much more experienced people here.. I think they would like to see a bit more information..

Reece's suggestion of a Yes/No field to denote when the project has become a DRF is the way most experienced developers would handle this.

You'd then base Forms, Reports, etc. on Queries that pull records based on whether or not the Yes/No field was Yes (-1) or No (0).
