Copying a record through a form

I am trying to replicate a Progress database system in Access 97. The current system allows the user to copy different pieces of a record or an entire record for a new product. i.e the user enters a new Product Code (Primary Key) and then they are able to copy the info from existing records or they can open an existing product and select the copy option and they are prompted to enter a new Product code. Any suggestions on how I could accomplish this in Access 97... keeping in mind that the copying is done through a form now in the table view. Thanks for any help you may provide.
