Count number of times a value list is used?

Hi there

Is it possible for me to count the number of times something has been selected in a value list? I currently have a value list under the heading "categories" with "CD", "DVD", "Book" and "Magazine" as options that can be selected. Can I count the number of times that I have selected "Magazine" and put it in the footer of a report?
