Good Afternoon
My trouble today is as follows, i want to count the number of times a company buys from us.
How i was planning on doing this was counting the number of dates they have baught from us, however a company can buy multiple purchases on same date
So using the example below it would show that Client1 has bought from us 2 times and Client 2 has bought from us 1 time (ignoring product)
SalesID.....ClientID.....Date.....ProductID
1.......................1.....01/01/99 .......... X
2.......................1.....01/01/99 .......... D
3.......................1.....13/01/99 .......... A
4 ......................2.....01/01/99 .......... L
5 ......................2.....01/01/99 .......... E
etc
I have tried using the COUNT function, however that doesn't really do what i want (Just get the value 1 as it counts each date as 1)
Any help, or pointing to a relevant article would be appreciated (Google didn't help me)
