Please forgive me as I think this may be obvious but I am a Jnr member, and a real Access headache!
I have a linked table to an Excel spreadsheet. The table shows suppliers in row and years in column. The data consists of spend £. All I want to do is run a query to count the spend for that year within ranges i.e. >0<=25000 and >25000<=50000 etc.
I have tried everything and my head hurts. Please help as I am a new member!?!?!
Also is it possible to link a table to an excel spreadsheet that extracts the data on a column by column basis rather than named ranges. This way when the spreadsheet is updated the reports linked to the table will just pull the updated info not specific.
Also can you place a prompt requester in a field in a query to ask the user which year the query looks at?
