Create Frame/Pane on a form

i am trying to create a form with a left hand frame on ite where
i will create a few button commands

it will basically be like having a header but vertical on the left hand side of pane

any suggestions

I don't know about a 'frame' per se (one that has properties, etc).

In instances I wanted a menu of sorts on the side, I just drew a box and filled with a slightly different color to differentiate it from the form.
