Create macro to automatically fill out column

Hello,

I am in the process of re-categorizing over 10,000 data entries. I was wondering if it would be possible to take advantage of macros to make this process much easier.

Currently, I have a new column called "Category," whose value will be determined from what is in the "Organization" column.

I want to make a macro that will look at the Organization column, and fill out the Category column accordingly.

I.e. Organization column has the word "county" in it, so the category column would be filled with "PGC."

Any help, insights, or suggestions would be great! Thanks:)
 
What's the end game? Why are you categorizing this data and what do you hope to accomplish?

What's the purpose of this category field? Does it link to another table? Will new records be added to this table and if so, how will their category data be input?
