I don't see where Access gives me the functionality to create a stacked column chart in a standard report.

I have the flexibility of listing the data in whatever format in the table it needs to be, but I NEED a stacked column chart to show how portions of my data contribute to the whole.

I am using ACCESS 2000 on Windows 98.

Please Help

Assuming your chart is on a report.
Open report in design View
Click on the chart itself
Click on Chart on the Menu bar
Choose chart Type
Click on Column in the Chart Type listbox
Choose your the stack column display you like in the Chart sub-Type section
That should do it
Let know if it worked.

I am using a chart in a report.

I tried your idea of changing the chart type, much like I would in Excel, but it did not respond.

I tried moving the data to be in one field with multiple records AND with one record and multiple fields.

Neither appear to work. The chart retains individual (side-by-side) columns rather than stacking on top.

Any other suggestions.?????

Were you able to generate a stacked column using the instructions that you provided?????

I never have any problems with creating stakced graphs if applicable. Might have to look at your data to see if they will generate a stacked graph though. Maybe attach a small db and I'll look at it.

Thanks for your attention.

I finally got it solved. My stacked graphs are now showing up.

You're suggestion made me take a closer look at the table I was using as the source for the chart. It was not structured correctly.

Thanks again!!!
