Creating forms the correct way?

when creating forms should i create them from my table or create a query first from my table then a form from my query,

Most experienced developers create a query, then base the form on the query, as a matter of routine, even if only one table is involved. Having a query makes data manipulation much easier.

thats what i thought but i seem to be getting problems when i create to many queries which brings me back to an earlier post
