Rabbie's solution is correct, but you should be aware that the command "Date()" when used on the 29 October 2008 would actually gives you a date and time of 29/10/08 00:00 hrs.
If you start to mix this with times, say 29/10/08 20:00, any time after 00:00 hrs on the day in question would be reported as being greater than date().
In order to avoid this you may wish to add 24 hours to ensure that times later in the day do not get reported. I use datefield >= Dateadd("d",1,Date())

jcutajar - The easiest way to do this is to use the Criteria >now()
I do this on a weekly basis the day before a report is due to update my report with ongoing or future items, without all past information to go through
